Implementation of TSM is designed to be undertaken in a phased process.
Adopting companies or individual facilities may be at different stages of implementation, depending on when they entered the program.
The recommended stages of implementation are shown in the figure below.
Member companies have committed to demonstrate continual improvement until they achieve good practice. Each year companies reflect on their performance and identify opportunities for improvement or key risks to address.
History has shown that the aggregated TSM benchmarks demonstrate that improvements in industry performance have been measurable and meaningful.
