Tailings Management and GISTM

In alignment with the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM), BHP has publicly disclosed its tailings storage facilities and continues to implement measures to meet GISTM’s requirements across its Minerals Australia operations. This commitment complements BHP’s consideration of TSM’s Tailings Management Protocol and reflects the company’s broader focus on transparency, risk management, and continuous improvement in tailings governance.
